Empowering your energy savings & efficiency

A ground or air source heat pump will lower your CO2 emissions by up to 70%—while working 3-4 times more efficiently than a traditional boiler

Ground source heat pumps<br />

Ground source heat pumps

Ground source heat pumps (GSHP) tap into the endless source of warmth stored just below ground. At about two metres the earth maintains a constant temperature of around 10°C and it’s this energy that GSHPs harvest, amplify and transfer into homes and offices.

It’s a proven technology that uses the vapour-compression refrigeration process, essentially a fridge working in reverse.

    • 70% lower C02 emissions
    • 4X more efficient than traditional boilers
    • 2 weeks installation time

    Air source heat pumps

Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) harvest warmth from the air (even on the coldest of days) to provide heating and hot water all-year round. It’s the ultimate renewable, a highly effective technology that is three times more efficient than traditional boilers. In technical terms heat pumps utilise the vapour-compression refrigeration process – put simply they work in the opposite way to a fridge.

      • 4X more efficient than traditional boilers

      Heat Pump Installation FAQs

How much would a heat pump installation cost for me?

While costs very much depend on the size of your home and your heating needs, on average, a heat pump installation would be around £4,000-6,000 (factoring in the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant). To find out a complete, custom quote for a heat pump installation, get in touch with our team.

What are the running costs for heat pumps?

The new generation of heat pumps can provide similar temperature water to gas boilers but are most efficient when operated at lower temperatures. At these lower temperatures, a heat pump can be up to 5 times more efficient than a gas boiler. We will provide an estimated running cost based on your chosen design temperature in your report.

Would my heat pump need to be serviced?

Yes. For your warranty to stay valid (and to ensure your heat pump is performing

optimally), you’ll need to professionally check your heat pump annually.

Is my home suitable for a heat pump?

To assess whether a heat pump would be suitable for your home (and which type would be best), there are multiple factors to consider (e.g. your home’s insulation, space for equipment, radiators, etc).
